Routes and transport to the Hato La Aurora Nature Reserve, in the Eastern Plains.
Juan Solito Ecolodge is located in the north-east of Hato La Aurora, on the right bank of the Ariporo river, in Casanare. These are the main routes to reach us; we will gladly help you plan your journey.
From Paz de Ariporo
Paz de Ariporo is the town closest to the reserve. From here the road journey is shorter. We offer transport on the Paz de Ariporo – Reserve – Paz de Ariporo route.
From Bogotá
You can fly to Yopal (about 45 minutes) or travel overland (about 9–10 hours). We will help you arrange the connection to the reserve to suit your itinerary.

El Alcaraván Airport in Yopal (EYP) is the nearest one with commercial flights, with daily connections from Bogotá. From Yopal you continue overland to the reserve.
Do you offer transport to the ecolodge?
Yes. We offer private transport on the Yopal – Reserve – Yopal and Paz de Ariporo – Reserve – Paz de Ariporo routes. You can see the fares in the rates section; write to us and we will arrange it around your arrival point.
Can I get there in my own car?
Yes, although the final stretches are unpaved and in the rainy season may require a high-clearance or 4x4 vehicle. We recommend checking with us before your trip so we can advise you on road conditions.
