Guided hikes

Discover on foot the flora, the wildlife and the sounds of the Llanos.

Walk the trails of the Hato La Aurora Nature Reserve and connect with the Llanos on foot, breathing pure air among the scents and colours of the Casanare savanna.

At Juan Solito Ecolodge we have trails close to the lodge where we run guided hikes, by day and by night, to enjoy the fresh air and the landscape. Along the way we meet the flora and wildlife of the region, and our guides share an enriching talk about the local plants and their traditional uses.

Every hike is an adventure to share with friends and family, with the chance to spot animals in the wild such as capybaras, white-tailed deer, spectacled caimans, wild horses, herons, jabirus, stone-curlews, burrowing owls, a great variety of ibis and many other bird species. Before setting off you get a safety briefing, and you are accompanied by local guides with years of experience.
